The part (a crank shaft or transmission shaft) is conveyed to the washing machine on a stepping conveyor. The washing process is "cold", i.e. up to a temperature of 30°C. The parts are pre-cleaned, rinsed, spun, washed and dried under the principle of dry cleaning.
